This year BCWM purchased two tables to the annual fundraiser for Operation Breakthrough, which allowed us to introduce 12 new people to this Kansas City organization whose mission is to help children who are living in poverty develop to their fullest potential by providing them a safe, loving and educational environment. Operation Breakthrough also strives to support and empower the children’s families through advocacy, referral services and emergency aid. This year’s fundraiser on April 29 was also a 40th birthday celebration for Operation Breakthrough. More than 900 people attended and contributed nearly $1 million to the cause.
